Variation of Conditions (VOC)
Visitors already in New Zealand can apply for a Variation of Conditions (VOC) to take up seasonal work in the horticulture and viticulture industries for six weeks.
With a VOC you may work for any employer in regions where a seasonal labour shortage has been declared by the Ministry of Social Development. PickNZ Regional Coordinators can tell you where these regions are if this happens.
To apply you must show that you are a genuine visitor to New Zealand, and pay the application fee. Download an application form and submit it to an Immigration New Zealand office with the paperwork it describes.
