Marlborough is one of New Zealand's sunniest regions and a naturally beautiful area. You can explore the magnificent Marlborough Sounds by water, or walk the 67km Queen Charlotte Track along its coastline. Put your feet up afterwards and enjoy the area's famous, giant-sized fresh mussels farmed in the sea.
The seaside town of Kaikoura offers unique mountain views from the beach, crayfish to gorge on, magical whale watch expeditions and a coastal reserve with seals. Further south and inland you'll find the relaxing mineral spas of Hanmer Springs.
The Marlborough Wine Festival during the New Zealand summer showcases the region's iconic and award-winning wines, along with delicious local cuisine and entertainment from some of New Zealand's leading performers.
