Northland

Northland has the most jobs available in January, and from April to July. The main crops are kiwifruit, citrus and avocado, and work includes picking, thinning, pruning and packing.

Waikato

Seasonal work opportunities will be available in the following areas – apple harvesting, grading and packing, kiwifruit harvesting, grading and packing, blueberry harvesting grading and packing, persimmon harvesting, grading and packing and strawberry planting. If you are in the region, make an appointment by telephone to visit our office, or register your interest on the Home page and we will contact you if we have jobs available.




Bay of Plenty

There is a very high need for workers in the Bay of Plenty from April to August. There are still many jobs available in September, and again from November to January. Most people are employed to work with kiwifruit.

Hawke's Bay

We have jobs available NOW in Hawke’s Bay picking apples and blueberries. Also we should have plenty of vacancies in grape picking from around mid March.
And remember Hawke’s Bay when it comes to winter work. We have grape pruning vacancies from 6th of June so make sure you register your interest.

If you are in Hawke’s Bay you can come into our office between 9am and 3pm Monday to Friday and we can provide you with a list of vacancies. We can also help you get an IRD number within 48 hours and provide a list of Private Accommodation Providers (as well as Backpackers) if you are looking for somewhere to stay.

Wairarapa

One of local vineyard contractors has vacancies for a few people from mid February up until harvest.

Nelson

Nelson has the highest number of jobs available from February to April. There are still jobs until August, and then there is another job peak in November and December. Most of the work is in berries and apples.

Marlborough

Marlborough region has a low labour requirement at this time of the year. Please contact the office before travelling to Blenheim. The region will have a demand for labour in June for winter pruning of the vineyards.

Central Otago

The apple harvest begins 1 March in Central Otago and finishes beginning of May - we will only have limited job vacancies available. Grape harvest will begin in April and lasts for approx. 4-6 weeks - contact our office for updates on job availability and start times for this harvest.
