Our office hours have changed for the Summer season! We are now open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 09:00am to 4.00pm. We can also assist with new applications for an IRD number ($15), which you will have within 48 hours or if you have a query with regards to your application for an IRD number, please feel free to come and talk to me. We also provide a list of Private Accommodation Providers (as well as Backpackers) if you are looking for somewhere to stay. We can also help you to apply for an extension on your Working Holiday Visa.

If you are in the Hawkes Bay region please come to our office to register, or if you wish to contact us for an update on the availability of jobs before travelling we suggest you call or email us. We cannot guarantee immediate start for jobs, but will take your name and when jobs become available will contact you.  please contact us for more information. Always make sure that your mobile phone is fully charged!

At present Nelson has no vacancies available and this will be in place until further notice. Only if you personally visit the office here in Motueka are we able to assist you. We do not reply by email or phone.

Due to the cooler spring we have low demand for workers in the Marlborough region. This can change so please keep in contact with the Wine Marlborough Labour Office on 0800 PICKNZ - 0800 742569 or email for up dates. It is important to make contact before you travel to Marlborough

The office will be closed for Christmas on December 23 and re-open January 4 2012. All enquiries over this time should be emailed as messages will be checked regularly.

WHATS HAPPENING IN CENTRAL OTAGO NOW??

Cherry Picking has finished and there is now a slightly lesser demand for workers in the region.  We are still picking stone-fruit crops and working on the vineyards.  If you are in Central Otago, please come to our office to register.  If you are not in the region, we suggest you contact us for an update on how much work is available before travelling to the region. Our office is open 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday, for you to register your name, and we will contact you when we have jobs available.

HOW DO I GET A JOB IN CENTRAL OTAGO?

• If you are in this region please visit our office to register your name - 67 Tarbert Street, Alexandra
• If you are an overseas traveller in NZ, please bring your passport and visa when you register
• If you are not in this region we will give you information about when work will be available
• We will endeavour to give you the best information possible at the time, so you are able to make a decision on your travel plans in New Zealand
• We are unable to place you into a job until we have met and registered you at our office
• We cannot hold a job for you until you arrive in Central Otago, and we cannot guarantee you a job once you arrive
• We can assist you with IRD number applications, and have a number for you within 24 hours
• We have a Licenced Immigration Adviser onsite who can assist with your Working Holiday Extension and all Temporary Entry Work/Visitor/Student Visa applications
